Those of you who aren’t natural aesthetes\/Ponytails will be wondering if this subject could apply to you<\/strong>. There’s no beauty in pursuits such as programming<\/a> and business development, is there?<\/p>\n

Au contraire!<\/em> I take a broad view of the term. Yes, of course an artist<\/strong> will see beauty in an elegant design, a pleasing color pallete, or the right choice of fonts. A programmer<\/strong> will find beauty in\u00a0well-developed, easy-to-read code that benefits the user’s experience; businesspeople<\/strong> and bean-counters<\/strong> enjoy seeing their companies run effectively and efficiently;\u00a0and marketers<\/strong> thrill at a brilliant promotional campaign<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I enjoy all of these things, and, eclecticist that I am, dabble in pretty much all of the above. Yes, it stretches the usual definition of beauty a bit, but not so far as to make it lose its true meaning. Basically the advice here will be advice with a purpose:<\/strong> no frivolous items that are simply cool or fun, but only those which have a definite reason, a goal to improve your Web presence<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Let’s work together to make the Web a more beautiful place, whatever your definition!<\/p>\n
