EDITOR TABS
\n<\/strong>These are the available sections for the Editor<\/strong> WordPress account, in addition to the previously-mentioned PAGE EDITOR<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Dashboard<\/strong>
\nThis page displays an overview of your account. Note that QuickPress<\/em> and most items under Right Now<\/em> may be unused if no blog is active.<\/p>\n

Posts
\n<\/strong>This section is for creating blog posts, if active.<\/p>\n

Media<\/strong>
\nThis is your list of pictures and other media items currently available for use on your website.
\n\u00a0 Add New:<\/em> Click this link to upload a new picture from your computer.
\n\u00a0 All:<\/em> This shows all media, including graphics, sound files, and any other items.
\n\u00a0 Images:<\/em> Photos and graphic files.
\n\u00a0 Unattached:<\/em> Media items which are not currently used on the website. They can generally be deleted without affecting current webpages.
\n\u00a0 Bulk Actions:<\/em> Check each item you want to modify, then choose one of the options from the dropdown list:
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Delete Permanently:<\/em> Select this option and click \u201cApply\u201d to remove all selected pictures. Note that graphics should only be removed which are listed in the Unattached list.
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Attach to a Post:<\/em> Associates a media file with the current post, so you\u2019ll know not to delete it.<\/p>\n

Links
\n<\/strong>This section and those below it may be unused, if you have a separate page for links. Note that Posts, Comments,<\/em> and QuickPress<\/em> are only used when a blog is active.<\/p>\n

Pages<\/strong>
\nThis is where all of your Web pages (not blog posts) are listed. Clicking on the title brings up an editor window where text and graphic content can be changed.
\n\u00a0 Add New:<\/em> Click this link to add a new Web page. See PAGE EDITOR<\/strong><\/a> for details.
\n\u00a0\u00a0All:<\/em> This lists all Web pages, whether published or not.
\n\u00a0\u00a0Published:<\/em> These are the pages currently open to the public.
\n\u00a0\u00a0Private:<\/em> Website users can\u2019t see any of the pages listed here.
\n\u00a0\u00a0Trash<\/em>: These pages have been deleted from the website, but are kept here in case you want to restore them. Hover over the page title to have the options to Restore<\/em> or Delete Permanently<\/em>.
\n
\nBulk Actions:<\/em> Select one or more pages, then choose an action to taken on all of them:
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Edit:<\/em> Change settings for all chosen pages. This is not used often, though changing the status of multiple Web pages may be helpful. See PAGE EDITOR<\/strong><\/a> for more details.
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Move to Trash:<\/em> This removes Web pages from the site. They are still in the Trash section in case you want to restore them.<\/p>\n

Comments<\/strong>
\nView and approve blog post comments.<\/p>\n

Profile<\/strong>
\nThis section displays the options pertaining to your user (\u201cEditor\u201d) account.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0Disable visual editor<\/em>
\nIf you’re not a Webhead, do not check this box.<\/strong> This displays the raw Web page code in place of the standard editing window. Changing this code without knowledge of its workings can make Web pages not display properly.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0Name, Contact Info, About Yourself<\/em>
\nThese settings adjust how your profile appears publicly, if at all, such as in blog posts, depending on the website\u2019s settings.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0New Password<\/em>
\nChange your password by filling in these boxes. Note that a strong password (upper- and lower-case letters, symbols, and numbers) is critical.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0[Update Profile]<\/em>
\nSave all changes.<\/p>\n

Tools<\/strong>
\n\u201cPress This\u201d allows you to pull content from the Web in order to write a blog post from your browser.<\/p>\n
