Do not edit these settings without being familiar with their workings. They are only being described for a general overview.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Appearance<\/strong><br \/>\nThese tabs modify settings which generally affect the entire website. Other unlisted sections may be available.<\/p>\n<p><strong> \u00a0\u00a0Themes<\/strong><br \/>\nThis section lists WordPress themes available to be used on your website. Note that the varying nature of each theme may cause unexpected changes in the website&#8217;s display, such as making certain content disappear or look misplaced. Use &#8220;Active Preview&#8221; for a demo of the template, then &#8220;Activate&#8221; to apply it to the entire site.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>\u00a0\u00a0Widgets<\/strong><br \/>\nThese are content blocks which can be dragged and dropped to place them in specific areas of the website.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>\u00a0\u00a0Editor<\/strong><br \/>\nThis is where the raw website code can be edited. Do not edit any of the files here unless you are thoroughly familiar with how the Web page code (mostly HTML, PHP, and WordPress-specific code) works. You could crash your website.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>\u00a0\u00a0Plugins<br \/>\n<\/strong>\u00a0 These are additional website features added to the main WordPress system. Use <strong>Settings<\/strong> to make changes, not <strong>Edit\/Editor<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Users<\/strong><br \/>\nThis is where user names and editing rights can be changed, though this is not recommended. Display names, email addresses, and other profile information can be changed here, as well.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Tools<\/strong><br \/>\nThis tab generally contains tools to transfer WordPress sites to and from other online locations, generally not needed.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Settings<\/strong><br \/>\nThis section allows changes to the entire website&#8217;s setup. Changes should usually not be necessary, and are not recommended.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>\u00a0\u00a0General<\/strong><br \/>\nDo not change the website address, or you could break your whole website. The website title and tagline can be changed here, which should appear in search engines. They might not show up on the website itself, though, depending on your website theme.
