Free and Easy Video Screencasts How-To

Are you looking for a good way to explain a technical process or visual concept to your visitors? Need a way to show your client how to set up a Web service, do a graphic design technique, or understand a complex diagram?  Use a screencast! It’s a video recording of everything you see and do on your computer screen, with your voice in the background describing the action.

You might be saying, “That’d cost too much, though! Besides, I’m not tech-savvy enough to put something complicated like that together.” Never fear! That’s where Screenr.com comes in. I stumbled upon this site just recently, and am definitely planning to use it when I make my own video tutorials.

Screenr looks like a great, free service for making quick and easy video content with literally just a couple clicks. I had made my first test screencast within five minutes of entering the site — and that included watching the promotional video. It’s a simple process which doesn’t involve programming, video or audio editing, or a great deal of time. There’s no software to download. The only hardware accessory you need is a microphone, which may even already be built into your computer.

Once you finish your video, you can publish it on Twitter, Youtube, or your own site in just a few steps, so that your video is published in record time, ready to be enjoyed by the masses. Check it out!
